Distinguishing Features: Scar on upper lip from an accident as a kid.  Earrings in both ears.  And a tattoo on his right shoulder of a Cherokee 7 Star and the Ying/Yang symbol on his left arm.

Powers/Abilities: Feral Mutant-Canine

Being a canine feral by birth Spencer, like all Canine’s has a keener sense of smell of all the Ferals, acute hearing and eyesight.  Like Feline Ferals, he has extreme physical strength, speed, stamina, and agility.  Canine’s are the most social of all Ferals but are easily provoked and quick to anger.  Due to their sense of smell, Canine Ferals are also expert trackers.

Psychological Background: Spencer has a lot of anger in his system, both at the world, what he is, the man he thought was his biological father who turned out to be his stepfather and towards his true biological father.

He tries to center himself but it doesn’t work to well. He’s prone to violence, not to the extreme, but he’s not one you can push around. Rarely backs down, even when he knows he should.

Personality Quirks/Hobbies: Spencer jogs every morning on the beach and though he’s an expert sharpshooter and an expert with weapons, doesn’t like guns.  Drinks sodas all the time, smokes too much and probably drinks too much.  Loves red meat and seafood, but not shrimp.  Plays the guitar to try and center himself, something he learned from his mother.

Loves women but can’t seem to keep a relationship, probably because of his anger, but he’s never hit a woman unless it was to defend himself.

History:

Spencer unlike a lot of New Mutants wasn’t cured or experimented on.  He was maybe the first child born of a scientific experiment and a normal human.

His real father Duncan MacGyver was part of the super soldier program and after becoming part of that, he met Spencer’s mother.  They dated for a short time and Marie got pregnant.  It seemed to her that Duncan had taken off, but he never knew she was pregnant, she honestly didn’t find out till after Duncan went on a mission.

Marie was told short after finding out she was pregnant, that Duncan had been killed in the line of duty.  Marie went on and wasn’t sure what she was going to do, but a young man basically fell into her life.  She found Ryon Grey fascinating and though she wasn’t in love/in love with him, he cared deeply for him.

Marie wasn’t stupid either, she knew she’d need help in taking care of her child, so when Ryon surprised her and asked her to marry him, she said yes.

Life was good with Ryon; he was wealthy and loved her son.

Spencer was basically spoilt, but he was one of those rare people who didn’t let it go to his head.  He got what he wanted, when he wanted, but he still cared about others.

Something Marie didn’t know though and Spencer soon found out about his father, was the fact that Ryon worked as a mercenary.  By the time Spencer was 11, Ryon was taking him on jobs with him.  He’d spent Spencer’s childhood teaching him martial arts and how to shoot, and now Spencer knew why.

It was their little secret; he wasn’t to tell his mother or his mother’s dear friend who hung around for a while, Duncan MacGyver.  Spencer never did.

Things started to slowly change by the time Spencer hit puberty, he started to change.  Duncan tried to help, but it didn’t seem like anyone could help, except one.  Duncan took the boy one day to a man named Adam McCoy.  Adam was able to tell him what was happening to him, he was a new mutant.  Adam also spent some time teaching him how to deal with his abilities.

If that wasn’t bad enough, though at times being a feral helped on Mercenary missions with his father, but a few years later he found out his father was heading the GSA.  Which at that point was working on collecting new mutants and either turning them into weapons or destroying those that wouldn’t cooperate.

Spencer didn’t have much to do with Ryon after that, only did because of his mother, but soon his mother died unexpectedly.  Spencer found some letters to Duncan MacGyver she never sent, they were telling him she was pregnant and about the baby after it was born…it was him. 

He was 20 at that time and took off.  He spent time in Vietnam and other war torn countries, working as a mercenary.  He was captured a few times and even tortured a few times. He’s still not had anything to do with Ryon, but pretty much learning how to deal with what he is, it’s now second nature to him, he’s come back to the states to try and get to know his real father.

He has one problem here, he's violent mood swings have landed him in jail a few times, but  he still won't use a gun, it reminds him to much of his 'father' Ryon Grey.

Special Notes: Spencer knows three forms of martial arts, Capoeira, Kali and Jiujutsu. Also speaks several  languages.
