Powers/Abilities: Super Soldier

Ex-Marine Green Beret.  Expert in anti-terrorism, martial arts, explosives, guns, knives, and tactics.

Agility, strength, speed, endurance, and reaction time superior to any Olympic athlete who ever competed.  Reaper also heals almost instantly and is immune to most poisons.  He has endurance to spare, reflexes almost super human, as well as hightened senses. He can easily bench press 1,000 lbs.

Psychological Background: Reaper used to be a very normal person, happy, sad, whatever, normal.  He was a normal person, who loved his family and his nephew.  Now his mind doesn’t seem to work like others.  He’s dark, angry, homicidal and not someone you want to cross.

Personality Quirks/Hobbies: Drinking, doing drugs, beating anyone up he can.  That’s basically all he cares about right now, that and his vengeance.  Used to love to use swords before, now he uses them as a weapon.

History:

Reaper was born John Grim two minutes ahead of his twin sister Samantha.  They were born the only kids to their parents.  Either of design or chance, but either way, they were the only ones and well taken care of.

Laura was a history professor; Paul was a military officer, so they didn’t have great amounts of money, but enough to take care of their kids.

Both John and Samantha grew up well.  They were both smart, and popular, sometimes the whole idea of being twins made them popular alone. 

Sam did the whole girl thing, cheerleading, girl’s basketball, choir…all those things.  Where John did the sports thing.  Both kids also got good grades and it was basically a normal life.  The whole being good, but yet doing sex, drugs and rock and roll.

They soon graduated and Sam followed their mother’s footsteps and went to college to become an archeologist, where John went and followed his father.  He up and joined the Marines.

Both kids did well, and John was good at his job.  He advanced quickly and soon became a Second Lieutenant.  Something he loved, he also in the process became a Green Beret, with the handle of Reaper.

He was stationed in Hawaii for a while and met a young lady named Lani. They started to date a while and John asked her marry him.  She agreed, but before they were to be married, John and a few other soldiers were sent on a special mission. 

They were sent to part of China that they weren’t supposed to be at.  He was part of a joint task force with several other members of the Military, even a few that had retired since, but were called back for this.  One of those was Duncan MacGyver.

Things quickly went to hell. John and a few others were left injured and behind enemy lines. They were taken prisoner.

At first John didn’t blame Mac, but some of the others did, since he’d made it out.  But after the torture and drugging started, John started to believe it too especially since this mission was off the books, the US Government never sent anyone to come get them.

The next three years were a living hell of torture, drug addiction and brainwashing.  In the end, only John was alive.  By then the Chinese had developed their own supersoldier program, after stealing the stuff from the US. Since every other soldier died, they tried it on John.

Before that, they made sure to tell him about his family.  Some branch of the government made sure they couldn’t complain about him never coming back.  His fiancée and his family were all dead.

They thought he was brainwashed, and maybe he was, but after the injections, he turned against everyone. Either the injections made him insane or he already was, either way, he was the only one to walk out alive.

It was the day Reaper was born.

Reaper found out his family was indeed dead.  Now he blames Duncan MacGyver for it all.
