Ex-Navy Seal.  Expert in anti-terrorism, martial arts, explosives, guns, knives, and tactics. Also an excellent chef.

Agility, strength, speed, endurance, and reaction time superior to any Olympic athlete who ever competed. The Super-Soldier formula that he has metabolized has enhanced all of his bodily functions to the peak of human efficiency. Notably, his body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him phenomenal endurance. While not superhuman, he is as strong as a human being can be. He can lift (press) a maximum of 800 pounds with supreme effort.

Psychological Background: Duncan was very happy growing up although he missed his father.  After his death he took on the role of Man of The House.  He helped his mother wherever he could.  He had asthma growing up but as he got older this was more controlled and rarely flared up but it did cause him problems at times with physical activities.  He's an over achiever.

After his kidnapping he found he cherished things in his life more.  He spent more time cooking, playing the guitar, drawing as well as spending time with his son whenever he wasn't out on assignment.  He wanted to spend more time with him but Marie and the government didn't always cooperate with it.  He continues to bury his emotions and in particular the fact that he'd lost so many loved ones.

He can seem gruff or stern until you know him and then he has a good sense of humor.  He is a firm believer some lines should never be crossed and some rules never broken however bending and blurring is often needed.

Personality Quirks/Hobbies: Works out at least four times a week if not every day.  He does smoke even though he knows he shouldn't.  It's one thing he does that goes against his training and physical being.  He claims it's his only foible but it was a habit he acquired while having to wait in places and nothing else to do.  Others smoked around him and he picked it up.  He enjoys cooking and will cook meals in his restaurant.  He also enjoys playing the guitar and drawing. All three activities he says helps him to release stress.

History: Duncan was born during the early sixties.  His father wasn't there for his birth due to being on a mission for the government being a special forces operative.  As Duncan grew up his father was gone even more as he was sent over to Vietnam.  When he was ten his mother received word that his father had been killed.  Duncan buried his feelings on his father's death attempting to be strong for his mother.  He threw himself into his studies.  He was very much a bookworm even though he longed to be the opposite.  He had asthma growing up but it lessened as he became a teenager.   He graduated with high marks and much to his mother's dismay applied to join the Naval Academy.

Unfortunately for him his health was not exceptional and the military was about to reject him due to asthma.  Even though it hadn't acted up in years it could again and the military wouldn't take a chance however one General had an idea.  The Super Soldier Serum project had continued even though the last subject it was used on died and the Government wanted to continue this with a new subject.  He foresaw problems growing in the mid-east and a super soldier might be needed.  He approached Duncan and convinced him to be come a part of it.

Duncan received injections and oral ingestions of the Super-Soldier formula. He was then exposed to a controlled burst of "Vita-Rays" that activate and stabilize the chemicals in his system. Although the process is arduous physically, it successfully alters his physiology almost instantly from its relatively frail form to the maximum of human efficiency, greatly enhancing his musculature and reflexes.  He is now a nearly perfect human being.  Now of course he by passed the naval academy and went on to the Navy Seals training to work with them among other abilities.

He became a special operative that they called in as needed.  When he wasn't on duty he spent a great deal of time in town, trying to relax and to forget the missions that happened.  He would sometimes play guitar or cook in the local bar for fun.  It was during one of these times he met Marie.  They saw each other for several weeks before he went off on another assignment.  This assignment though went bad and he was captured.  He spent five years in a foreign prison. When he was finally rescued he spent six months in a military hospital recovering from the injuries and infections he'd gotten. Of course he was also debriefed during that time and they had to make sure he hadn't betrayed the government in anyway.  He also had to learn about the world that had changed while he'd been incarcerated.  To his grief, his mother had passed away due to a car accident and his brother had been sent to live with their uncle.  Then he also found out he had a son.  He'd lost six years of his son's life and he sought to make it up however it wasn't that easy. He also tried to keep an eye on his brother but again that was easier said then done. Once he had been cleared to work again the government wanted him to continue going on different missions.

Finally having enough he said he'd retire or so he thought.  He bought took over a restaurant and had made a success of it for several years when the government came calling again.

Special Notes: He is unable to father children after what was done to him while in the prison.
