Nicknames: Tommy Age:
34 Occupation:
Homicide Inspector Family:
Andy Trudeau (Father deceased), Carolyn Graves
(Mother, remarried), Justin Graves ADA (Step-father),
Deanna Graves (younger half-sister
age 25)
Physical
Description: Height:
5' 10" Weight: 185
Hair: Brown Eyes: Green Distinguishing Marks: Strong
Jaw, tribal tattoo on left arm
Powers/Abilities: Nothing out of
the ordinary. Is just a damned good cop like his father
before him.
Hobbies: Runs marathons,
works out in a gym, coaches little league baseball Physiological
Background: Tommy was born after his parents'
divorce so he doesn't have the typical abandonment
complex. He has no real conscious memory of his father,
just photographs, and stories told to him by his father's
friends on the force that would stop by to look after
him for Andy's sake. He has a serious case of hero
worship regarding his father.
This drove him to
join the force. He likes the world to make sense. Even
when it doesn't he strives to find a way that it makes
sense in his head or he just can't leave it alone. It's
one of the things that contributes to his abilities as a
police officer. Personality Quirks:
Health food nut. Mostly to annoy his socialite
mother. Doesn't drink coffee or anything else with
caffeine, except when on stake out (then will drive
partner up a wall). Doesn't eat red meat or fried foods.
Runs 5 miles every morning, and every evening when he
gets off work to clear his head. Likes to make
sure his mother sees his tattoo when he visits.
History: Tommy grew up in a very happy
home. His mother, a socialite whose first marriage was
beneath her, and to a cop, had remarried to a local ADA
Justin Graves. Because she was happy with the social
status and the income, life for Tommy was happy.
He didn't get to really know his father before he
died, and what few memories he has are from pictures and
the guys from the force. So he has a deep seated hero
worship for the man, which neither of his other parents
were willing to meddle with. It didn't matter, the man
was dead after all. He did well in school, and
especially in sports. He played baseball and football in
high school, and was fairly popular. Over all he was the
American dream in the making. It wasn't until college,
when he chose to study criminology and law enforcement
rather than law that his mother started to put pressure
on him to follow her ideals for him rather than his own
dreams.
This
lead to problems in his happy family. Ones that his step
father refused to get involved in, saying it was between
the two of them. Which was to say he agreed with his
mother but wasn't willing to press the matter.
Tommy who told them he didn't want or need their money or
their approval, quit college with only a bachelors
degree and joined the police academy.
He
excelled in the force, starting in a patrol car, and
when money allowed he went back to school on his own
terms. Community college this time rather than Stanford.
By the time he got his masters he was working the Vice
Squad. From there he moved into Homicide.
He has
a condo, a cat named Sherlock and a long line of ex
girlfriends. Every so often he makes the
attempt once every few months to visit his mother, but
it never ends well. His stepfather he sees at work
quite often and they still get along for the most part.
