Distinguishing Marks: Tattoo of a blue eyed eagle on his right shoulder blade.  Various scars from knives, bullet, arrows, whips, from over the years.  Always wears a necklace with a gold ring attached to it.  The ring has two hands intertwined.  It's a bit dented and tarnished from the years, but he still wears it.


Abilities: Vampire

 

These are beings who need blood to survive.  They do have more strength and agility then humans but they are light sensitive (Sunlight won't kill them.  It will though dehydrate them faster then a human so they prefer the nighttime over the day).  They cannot die except by fire or decapitation.  A stake through the heart paralyzes them.  They do not need to kill nor do they need to feed on humans but they do need blood to survive.  If severely wounded feeding on blood can increase their healing time.  They can eat normal food, live fairly normal lives but they do not age.  Female vampires cannot procreate however male vampires within the first decade have on rare occasion sired a child.  These children aren't quite as strong as a vampire but fairly close to where there is little difference.  They age fairly normally until their twenties were it slows down to a stop.  One becomes a vampire by being drained of almost all blood and then feed blood from a vampire. 

 

Hobbies: Vin loves sports, but mostly the kind that he can do on his own.  Like surfing, rock climbing, hiking, camping. Martial arts, swords, knives and guns.


Psychological Background: Vin is a very quiet and reserved person, but he also has a very wicked sense of humor, once he let’s you close.  He's built up walls that he won't let people in.  He has a dry wit and seems to have a very uncanny ability to read nature.  He also has an almost supernatural instinct, or sixth sense about sensing danger and a few other things.


 Personality Quirks: Vin hates being cooped up. Being indoors or in town for to long is like being in a cage to him. He'd rather camp outdoors and will anytime he can. Generally only comes into town when he has to. He's claustrophobic from a being locked in a trunk over night at 7, but he won't admit it.

 

Vin doesn't like being touched and will back up or move away to avoid it. Hates crowds and hates being the center of attention.

 

History:

 

Vin was born the only child to his mother, Lucille West. Her husband died even before shortly after she married him, she got pregnant by a married man and her friend Kevin stepped up to keep it a secret. Her husband Kevin was a deputy in a town their farm was next to, in Texas. He went out with others to return a prisoner to a town a few weeks away and he and the others were never heard from again. No one knows what happened.

Lucille was left on her own to raise Vin. She got a job as a seamstress, which gave them enough to survive on and that was about it. But they had a good life, from what Vin can remember he loved his mama and she loved him. But she got sick with putrid fever when he was 5 and she died shortly after that. Not having any relatives, it took people a long time to come out and check cause they'd not seen Lucille. By the time they did, Vin was gone.

He had been taught by his mother, who was taught by her husband, how to survive on the land. It wasn't easy for a small child, but he somehow managed it. He was on his own for a year till he ran into some Indians who took him in for a few more years, during that time he went to a town with them and a fight broke out, he was thrown into a trunk and left there over night. He learned a lot from the Indians and was pretty happy, but soon the Indians were attacked by the white men and Vin was on his own again. He won't say what happened between then and becoming a hunter.


 But now he could do something. He had an uncanny ability to track and scout, which got him a few jobs with settlers and with posses. He ran across the job of Buffalo Hunter from a Marshal he was helping to track a bounty. The man saw Vin could shot and shot great, what the Marshal called a Sharpshooter. Vin had never heard that term before, because to him he could just do it. His ma put a rifle in his hand at 2, and he'd been a dead on shot ever since.

The Marshal introduced him to a friend who gave him the job. He did excellent as a Buffalo Hunter, till the buffalo started to run out. He left and this time he took what he knew and instead of helping the posses get the bounties, he became a bounty hunter himself. He was doing great at that for 2 years, till he went to bring a man in that was robbing banks. He found who he thought was Eli Joe, but turned out he was a farmer Joe had killed. Vin took the body in, since the wanted poster said 'Dead or Alive'. But once he got back to town with the man, he was accused of murder.

Since he didn't commit it, he decided to not stick around for the hanging and ended up with a 500-dollar bounty on his own head. He's spent the last 3 years staying one step, sometimes barely, ahead of the bounty hunters and looking for Joe to make him tell the truth about the killing and clear his name.

 

He wandered a while and found himself in a town called Four Corners, where by accident he made friends with 6 other men.  They were like brothers to him, especially one named Chris Larabee.  They all worked together for a few years and it was a pretty good life and for the first time in his life, Vin felt like he actually belonged somewhere.

It was shortly after that he was attacked by a rogue vampire.  He was drained of all his blood and turned.  His new master, Winters, wanted him to kill and destroy, but he couldn’t…wouldn’t.  But since his master was much stronger, he kept beating and torturing him trying to get him to comply.  He probably would have died by his hand, if not for a man named McSheen. 

 

He was part of a group that dealt with supernatural things.  He’d come across Winters, and his new childe, planning on killing them both.  He watched long enough to know that Vin wasn’t like Winters.  McSheen instead killed Winters and saved Vin. 

 

Ever since then, after Vin found out what The Center did, he’s worked for McSheen and his descendents to protect them and those that live and work in the house.
