Samantha has the ability to shape shift into a wolf or wolf like creature during night hours. Werewolves have an aversion to bright lights and wolfs bane.  They are allergic to silver, in all forms.  This allergic reaction can range from being blisters from the touch on skin or to killing them if taken internally.  Can be killed by fire, decapitation or silver poisoning.  They age at a slower rate then humans but are not immortal.  They can have children but they do chance in passing on the werewolf curse.

Has some control her shape shifting but stress, anger or panic can trigger it to happen without her choice.

Hobbies: Reading, smoking, drawing, hiking, meditation

Psychological Background: Samantha is very easy going and lives for a challenge.  She has a hard time though letting anyone get in close to her, she's been this way most of her life due to losing her parents at a young age and then later her brother's coma and the loss of her Uncle.  She is also claustrophobic (fear of enclosed places) and nyctophobia (fear of the dark).  She can manage to use an elevator but she prefers not to.  With the dark so long as she can see something she's able to manage but complete dark she panics in

Personality Quirks: Sleeps with a night-light.  Chews on her lip when nervous.

History:

Samantha's life started out rough, her mother...who had cancer at the time...died in childbirth. Her father took her and her twin brother home, he was very saddened by his wife's death, but it was what they agreed on. She found out she was pregnant with they’re only children, about the same time she found out she had cancer. She opted to not take the chemo drugs, and have the children instead.

So Connor and Samantha were taken home by their father to raise. Despite his pain, James fell easily into his role as father. Maybe it was because he'd agreed with his wife's wishes ahead of time or because he really wanted his children or whatever the reason, he took wonderfully at being a father.

He raised them by himself for the first 4 years of their lives, till he meet another woman and got married. Rachel was a wonderful woman and because of a childhood illness, she could never have kids of her own, so Connor and Samantha became her children to her. Rachel and James were married by the time Samantha was 5 and they lived happily till Samantha was 9 and tragedy struck again.

Her parents were archeologists and were both killed at a dig, when the walls collapsed. Connor and Samantha were trapped as well, but since both were very bright students, they knew what to do to keep themselves alive till help got there.

They had enough air to breath, so that wasn't a problem. But after days of having no food and water, they were very weak by the time help arrived. They were transported to a hospital, where upon there Connor closed off and was just angry. Where Samantha seemed to do nothing but cry. Connor also wouldn't let anyone near her; it was really hard on the staff and the kids.

They were then sent to live with their uncle, who was in the Marines. He was the only living relative willing to take the kids. Connor and Samantha didn't adjust well at first. Samantha still cried and Connor was still angry. It took their uncle Walter, a while to get through to them. He got through to Sam, by getting her into her parents' career of archeology. Where Connor he used his anger for teaching him martial arts and how to defend himself.

The kids seemed to adjust ok after that and even seemed to pick back up into being A+ students again. But upon graduation Connor and Samantha were finally separated, but only because both were too stubborn to give. Samantha followed in their parents' footsteps of being an archeologist, something Connor feared would end up getting her killed as well. But Connor didn't exactly pick a desk job. He followed in his uncle's career and joined the marines. They haven't really spoken since, except for the yearly birthday card to each other.

Samantha was able to get a scholarship to go to Yale.  She would write to Connor and talk with him now and then but she knew the career she had chosen worried him.  She loved history, research and discovering new things about the past.  She managed to get an internship after graduation, which of course took her farther away from her brother.  She was now over seas working with a huge dig.  True she was just one of many workers but it was what she'd wanted.  She slowly moved up the ranks, promotion in this field wasn't easy but she was managing.  She had one very close call with a cave-in where she got some minor injuries.  She never told Connor about because when she got out of the hospital she was notified that he was in the hospital as well, in a coma.  She took a sabbatical from work and went there.  She visited him regularly for over a year but her Uncle eventually encouraged her to go back to work afraid that she'd waste her life sitting there.

Over the next few years she visited occasionally but by this time the doctors had told her that it was doubtful he'd ever wake up.  Her uncle had passed away and she felt very much alone in the world.  She was offered the chance to lead a dig in Eastern Europe, Transylvania to be precise.  They had recently found remains and relics from Attila the Hun having gone through there and she'd been given the chance to see what more they could find.

One night she received word that Connor had woken up.  She'd been ecstatic and had gone into town to celebrate.  On the way back to the camp what she thought was a large wolf ran in front of her car and she hit part of him.  She got out to check and was bitten for her trouble before it ran off.  The next day a man, Sergei, came to see her; to explain he had been the wolf and what she now was.  She of course didn't believe him, thought he was insane, at least until she changed the next night into a wolf.  After that point she learned all she could from him along with studying other legends. Due to this she stayed clear of Connor, not knowing what he might think of what had happened thus did not know about his abilities.  When her current dig ended Sergei put her in contact with The Center.  They offered her a position but she wasn't sure at first if she wanted to work with them or not.  She debated on it for some time before accepting.  She trained in their Paris branch before being assigned to the US Eastern Branch (she did not know prior to arrival that Connor was working there).
